Egypt\'s New Capital City Opens First Phase to Residents and Businesses

Egypt New Capital

The Egyptian government has opened the Government District of the New Administrative Capital to the public, completing the relocation of 51 ministries and government agencies from Cairo's congested downtown.

The first residential phase of 21 districts covering 40,000 housing units has been formally handed over to buyers, with occupancy rates for commercial office towers in the Central Business District exceeding 70%.

The city is designed around smart infrastructure, with a fully automated metro system, AI-powered traffic management, and a 90,000-seat multi-purpose stadium hosting the African Nations Championship in 2028.
