Netflix Africa Content
Netflix Africa Content President Ben Amadasun unveiled the company's largest-ever African commissioning slate at the Lagos Creative Industries Summit, comprising 18 drama series, 12 original films, and four documentary series.
The slate is anchored by three flagship co-productions with South African, Nigerian, and Kenyan public broadcasters, designed to qualify for local content quotas while targeting Netflix's 50 million African subscribers.
Industry analysts estimate the investment will create over 60,000 short-term production jobs and establish Lagos, Cape Town, and Nairobi as Africa's primary production hubs for international-standard content.
