Deputy Minister of International Relations Alvin Botes confirmed that South Africa's high commission in Mbabane has resumed full operations following months of strained relations related to border security and migrant worker rights.

A joint communiqué issued by both governments outlines a new border management framework including biometric processing at all four crossing points and a joint rapid response team for cross-border security incidents.
